I have been having problem with Mathcad Prime 3.1 crashing lately. First, when I load my files, some random equations will be red-circled as "Unknown Error: mpl%_Exception". (see attached image). As soon as I start changing the values on my worksheet, Mathcad would crash.
At first, I thought it might be migration issue from my Prime 2.0 file to Prime 3.1, but I realized even if I try a simple calculation in a new file, Mathcad would crash.
ex. a:=1m, b:=2m, c:=a+b= (see attached image)
I am now stuck, not being to load any of my worksheets. Could anybody offer any suggestion or explanation?
I am running Mathcad Prime 3.1 Express, on Windows 7 service pack 1, 64bit. Intel Core i5-3470 CPU 3.20GHz, 8 GB RAM. I did try reinstalling the software with same result.

I am a beginner in Mathcad Prime. I would like to make plot for under stated conditional function .Please help in this regard.
V(t)= 5 for 0<t<5
=-5 for5<t<10
It should be square wave plot with period 10. I mean after t=10 it should repeat itself.
Is there documentation on this?
I would call this behavior a bug. The integral is only found if the symbolics is forced to float mode (it also happens if you use the "float" keyword).
Does anybody know when it was introduced or can anybody confirm the bug in earlier versions of Mathcad than M15 M030?

I tried installing on my new computer PTC Mathcad Prime 3.1 on win 8.1
I went through installation and all went fine and it's said it completed
but when i searched for the software it wasn't exists on start->apps and also add/remove software.
only the diagnostic tool was installed.
when i searched for it on hard-disk i found folder in program files PTC\Mathcad Prime 3.1 but it contain only one file mathcad.p.xml under PTC\Mathcad Prime 3.1\bin\pim\xml
so i tried reinstall but the installation software said that everything is already installed and suggested only to "update from M030"
I proceed with the so called update which finished successfully but again the software cannot be found.
maybe i should delete all file related and registery but i wanna be sure i dont do any harm
somebody have a suggestion how to do fresh install?

Once I add units to the variable, the plot value is off by 386. If I change the units to lb/in^2 the result is correct. However, the units for pressure are NOT lb mass. I tweaked settings in Tools/Worksheet Options but I have not found the correct combination.
What did I miss?
Hi all, I want to use symbolic solver to convert a fourth order equation to the multiplication of two second order terms. All variables are real numbers. I defined the equation like this but Mathcad showed no solution for it.
I attached the complete source code of Mathcad here. A big portion of this worksheet is the derivation of the left hand side of the equation, so you can simply ignore it (unless some of them are not executed by mathcad successfully). Would someone advise what is wrong with my solution? Can I put more restrictions in Mathcad, such as assume k0,k are real, to figure this out?

Just yesterday, my Mathcad Prime 3.1 (free version) started acting up. When I double click the icon or run from the start menu (Windows 8.1 shell mode) I see the "splash" logo for Prime but then it disappears and a main window never shows up. Also, nothing shows up in the taskbar.
If I go to the Task Manager, I see the program, even multipe copies if I keep double clicking the icon but no window and no icon in the taskbar.
Has anyone seen this before?

I have done design in Mathcad Prime 2.0 and trying to integrate it in Creo 2.0 but it is getting very slow.
Also once we integrate mathcad in creo then at the time of regenerate creo model, mathcad sheet also get run and either computer goes in hang mode or takes lot of time.
So please can anybody having any solution on this to reduce time.

So is it possible to let Mathcad represent the result in terms of even and odd cases?
Right now I only know to define n:=0,1..100 (for example)
Then write the complex equation and Mathcad will give a 100 by 1 vector (half of which are 1 and the other half are -1)
The result is not concise

It is nothing important but I wonder if it possible in Mathcad.
It seems that in Maple it easy, but Mathcad has still more friendly interface.

I've worked out, long hand, how to determine the desired equations for a cycloidal motion profile of cam I'm going to use as a discussion example.
I'd like to use Mathcad to integrate these equations for me, giving it boundary conditions and solving for the integration constants, but I keep running around in circles trying to figure out the syntax to do so.
I've included the worksheet I'm using, and would greatly appreciate insight into how to get Mathcad to do this symbolic integration for me.
The motion of this cam says there will be dwell at the beginning and end. The initial and ending velocity, acceleration, and position should be zero (these are my boundary conditions).
