XMCD to MCDX
Hello everyone,
We have Mathcad prime 3.1. We recently installed PTC Mathcad Express Trial per Aaron Shaw's recommendation - http://blogs.ptc.com/2012/04/09/converting-your-worksheets-to-mathcad-prime-2-0-in-3-easy-steps/ However, XMCD, MCD converter function is still not working; failed sign says 'Mathcad 15 M010 or a later version is necessary to run the converter'

Convert 1x1 vector to scalar in if statement
In the attached Prime worksheet I am trying to use the "logical or" function within a nested if statement. I believe the error is due to db being a 1x1 vector. Is there a way to convert this from a 1x1 vector to a scalar value?

How to plot arrays as pictures
I have been using mathcad for many years, its been my go to software to help me think and sort out problems. Very recently I moved to Mathcad prime 3. I am unbelievably dissapointed. Yes it looks pretty , but its so hard to do anything. I wanted to display arrays as a picture , as I have done for many years. You cant do this. You have to save the data to a file, then read in the file in to a picture which has browsed a filename. then it does not update when you change the data in the file. Its awful and unusable in this application. I have had to revert to a pre prime version as this actually does what I need it to do. I cant believe we are on prime 3 and this is not sorted out.
Help doesn't work either. Prime really is a backward step and I would not recommend it to anyone - are you listening PTC. I have colleagues who feel exactly the same.
If anyone can suggest how to view 2D arrays as pictures in a usable way I would like to find out.

Mathcad 15 with windows 10
So i have a dell laptop that recently upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8. The only way we can get it to work with Mathcad 15 so far is to run it in windows 7 compatibility mode but it takes a long time to start but when going to page setup option under "File" it freezes for a few seconds and then looks like its about to open but then nothing happens. Other than that seems to work fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I don't think I've encountered this error before. I wonder if it's related to running M15 040 under Windows 10 (or just an M15 040 issue?

Differential Equation
Hi
I'm trying to solve this attached differential equation in mathcad... I'm running into an issue saying there is not enough initial conditions.
Please help with this issue. I was also unable to use laplace to solve this one too. By the way the F(t) is a periodic function from 0 to t5 where t5 is one of the unknowns and must be solved for.

Mathcad 15 040 Help Error?
I'm having a problem with Help in M15 040. After my first install, M15 wouldn't find the Help files, so I uninstalled it and installed it again. Now all I get is about half a dozen of the following error dialogs but still no Help. Has anybody else had this problem? Win 10 installation, replacing a previously successful Win 7 M15 030 installation.

Picture analysis
I would like to analyze some filters for the amount of debris present. However, I have never used Mathcad 15 for this in the past and would appreciate some help in the matter.
In picture "A" you can see a digital photograph with lower right corner some debris present (dark colored spot). However, most of the pictures are CT scanning pictures such as "B" where you can see the same debris as a light grey spot against the darker background.
Is it possible to color the debris in some way so that I could calculate the amount of the filter surface covered with debris? I have to admit that I am a complete newbie in picture analysis. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Is it possible to show only one x-axis title when plotting two variables?
In the figure below, Altitude (prediction) and Altitude (experiment) are both functions of time. How do I eliminate the title "Time(experiment)" from the x-axis. I would like to have the x-axis title as "t" only.

Term by term multiplication
Hello,
I'm just wondering if mathcad is able to multiplicate two vectros term by term. As an example:
(3 4 8 2) x (2 8 7 3)= (6 32 56 6)

How to run mathcad file in creo parametric as per user required and not every time ?
Hi..
I have one articulation in creo parametric 2.0, and I have to check its feasibility for different condition by passing creo dimension values to mathcad.
Now, I have integrated Mathcad Prime 2.0 and creo parametric 2.0 and added mathcad file as a feature in creo model.
But my issue is while i am running one condition and regenerating model, mathcad file also getting run and which will take so much time.
first of all i have to do all condtion and then only i want to run mathcad file and not for every condition.
So please can anyone let me know, how to run mathcad feature as per user requirement and not every time.

Small edit required on vector plot
Dear PTC community,
i have a question about a vector plot.
In the plot (attached as a picture), i only want to show the points and the ring segments.
At the moment, also the connecting line pieces to the next ring segment are plotted. (resulting in a straight line on the X-axis)
How to get rid of these connecting line pieces?

Where are new MCAD Users Coming From?
Hi Folks,
I'm a professor at a large university (40,000 undergrad students and grad students). I'm teaching a math review class for grad students and asked them to vote on what software they wanted me to use, Mathcad, Matlab, Mathematica or Maple. I briefly described each and told them Mathcad was capable and the easiest to use. The vote was unanimous for Matlab, so that's what we're using.
I can't help thinking that MCAD users are a small and shrinking group. Do we have any numbers on the size of the MCAD community and where new users might come from?
