List of Mathcad Prime Functions?
Is there a list of Mathcad functions that lists parameters, return values, and the such?
i.e. MAX(num1 as number, num2 as number) - returns maximum of num1 or num2; if not number throws error.
I know Mathcad 15 has a nice table, but I cannot find one for Prime.

Has anyone installed the full Prime 3.1 on MS Surface Pro 3?
I have been using Mathcad ever since release 2.5 [tells you how old I am]. Two weeks ago my laptop crashed and I was not able to recover anything. I wanted to transfer my full Prime 3.1 license to my new Surface Pro 3, as it is becoming a very popular engineering platform. Support could not install it as the Surface does not have an Ethernet card. Support was able to only install Mathcad Express. Is anyone using the full version of Prime 3.1 on Surface Pro 3? Thanks.

Collapse / expand all areas
Hi, does anyone know of a way to collapse all areas in a document at the same time? I have a very large document with lots of areas in it. I have a need to open and then close them all depending what I’m working on and who I am showing it to. It takes a really long time to go through and click on all the + - signs. It would be great if there was an “collapse / expand all” shortcut or something…?

MathCAD File Corrupted During Save
Hello all,
Hoping someone can help me save a hours of work by recovering someway somehow a file that froze while saving and now will not open. It was done in Mathcad Prime 3.0. It does have some screen grab graphics inserted into it.

Unable to plot a Function with Units calling a Solve Block
I would like to plot directly from a function I've written in Mathcad 15 (MC15) to plot data across values of one parameter, input as either a range variable or a vector, but am unfortunately unable to make this work.
The function, Tsrfc() calls a solve block in a fashion similar to the quicksheet Parameterizing Solutions, and like that example includes units. Tsrfc() is validated using a thermal analyzer application, but currently works for only one value of insulation thickness, tinsl. Within the MC15 Area named Geometry examples of attempts to implement tinsl as a range variable [error message: This variable must be a scalar or matrix] and as a vector [error message: No solution was found. Try changing the guess value or the value of TOL or CTOL] can be seen, temporarily deactivated by a leading underscore, _.
If plotting directly from a call to this function in a worksheet is not possible, then I would like to call the function in an in-line program, populating a vector, which I can then plotted. Please advise.

Mr. Sheehan's latest blog on text formatting has me playing, first in Prime 3.0 (we haven't upgraded to 3.1 yet,)then in version 15. I moved to 15 after I couldn't find an infix function operator in Prime. You can do the same trick in 15 (without the double quotes. I typed an a to start a math region, then "cntrl-shift-k" to tell Mathcad that what was coming was a special character, then "alt 0177" to type the ± character. (That trick works in most places, including right here.) Then "cntrl-shift-k" again to get Mathcad out of special character mode and parenthesis, x, and y. Delete the a and you have ±(x,y) and you can proceed to define your function, If Prime had an infix operator, you could do (like 15):

Trial and error method in mathcad
Hi,
The following is the equation in which , the value "f" should be zero, but the integration limit has to change with the y1 value,
i.e if y1<z1 the equation will be same as shown,
if z1<y1<z2 , then y1 must be in the P2(z) integration limit ,
also if z2<y1,then y1 must be in the P3(z) integration limit
Keeping the fact that using trial and error "f "must be zero and the equation must change the integration limit as per the "y1" value.
