Tahoma font for Adobe Reader or PDF pinters?

$

Hello,

So I have noticed whenever I get ready to submit a homework or print the worksheet to a PDF using adobe, that it doesn't support Tahoma font.  I'm wondering if anybody has a work around for this, either with overwritting the defualt mathcad templates or finding this text file to import into adobe.

Generally I try to open a new template I created for the defualt with Times New Roman as the defualt text, but sometimes I forget and it is a pain to go back and refix all of it.  I have also tried to set Times New Roman as the defualt text in Mathcads Templates, but I get an error trying to save it.  [The file type is not supported.  Prime Exception 20140218_122907.log].

System Error when using long equations?

Hi,

I was using MathCAD Express Prime and whenever I randomly get the system error called System Error: Item have already been added. Key in dictionary: System.Int32[] Key being added: System.Int32[]

It was working fine until recently. This error has been occuring in seemly random locations and times in vector locations such as FaccumTA(6)=

What should I do?

Thanks!

The solution presented is too classical for the guy working on the floor in an everyday operational job. Felt the  attached file is a more practical and cleaner solution that the guy on the floor can relate to.

I do not know how to do it with the odesolve function but I know how do it with the rkfixed function. But I do not remember how use rkfixed for this ODEs.

Help me please - the Mathcad Prime 3 sheet in attach.

I want to get the period waveform b(t) but when i plot it i find that the plot has a lot of spikes.

the x definition domain is[ 0, f^-1 )  of original function y(t).

Please see the detailed attachment in MathCad15 F000.

Vertical Stiffness Of Pile Group

Good Afternoon Community / Werner Exinger,

Attached is copy of the file that the community was helping me to resolve previously. My goal this time is to calculate alpha as shown in the worksheet. I develop a routine for alpha_v, but my results are not the same as the author whose result is reproduce as alpha_1, with the same 3 X 3 pile group. Would anybody be kind to tell me what I am doing wrong.

Mathcad Prime 3.0 Setup.exe does not launch

Hello,

I have not been able to launch Setup.exe for Mathcad Prime 3.0

I have tried the download version F000 unsuccessfully.

Then I ordered the DVD version and clicked on Setup.exe and I heard a lot of work in the DVD drive but nothing showed up on the screen, just like the download version.

Nothing happens.

Any clues will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Raul

Dear Sir,

I need your valuable support.

currently I am working on one project in which I have to use Mathcad programming to control parameter of assembly.

I am new to this Mathcad software.

I had read all help file for Creo Help manual.

but I am not able to perform any task.

please give me demo videos, tutorials.

Modifier for expressing polynomials in descending order?

Hello,

Just trying to express the polynomials in descending order.  It is basically doing the Lagrange's Polynomial for a given Zeta value and I have the number of node points as an input as well.  I'm just trying to make all of the outputs in the same format.

RE: Mathcad Fatal Error

I would appreciate it if anyone has a solution to this problem. I have never had this error before as far as I can recall and I have used Mathcad 15 (student version) for two years with no trouble. I am working on homework (plotting collected data points, nothing challenging here), when Mathcad suffers a fatal error and crashes. It prompts me to save my work but doesn't actually. It also gives me a "Warning", which really is useless at that point since Matlab becomes non-functional. I have included a screenshot.

I rely pretty heavily on mcad so any help would be appreciated.

Orifice Plate - Plotting 3D or Contour Plot

$

Hello,

As the title suggests, I'm looking at trying to plot the flow rate or diameter for an orifice plate for a range of temperatures and pressures.  I'd like to get a contour or 3D plot.  However, whenever I do try the 3D or contour plots, I can't seem to get them to work unless I drop all units before hand and remember as I do the inputs, what my scale is.  When dealing with anything temperature wise, this is rather frustrating.

Attached is my worksheet, of which I'm looking to get the plot working for a range of Temps & Pressures.  I'm currently looking at sonic flows, and am wondering to what extent does the temperature and the pressure have an impact on the flow rate that will be produced for a given diameter, or vise versa. I'd also be curious, if say temperature over a range isn't very impactful, the graph of the mass flow rate vs. Pressure and Diameter.  I'm interested in plotting it this way as a jet engine will change its output of T&P, and the mass flow you get out will vary over that range for a given diameter.

I can get 2D plots of the data to work out alright, just not the 3D or contour.  I must be missing something either trivial or just not seeing it currently.

There are two functions in the sheet, one for calculating the Diameter as a function: D(m,T,P) and the Mass Flow as a function: M(D,T,P).

Would it be wiser to attempt some sort of demensional analysis?

Table/Vector (Excel import) compare value and replace

Hello,

On my worksheet, I import an Excel table with about 50.000 lines, name is "signal".

With a formula, I convert the input Excel value (Amper) to (Volt) units.

After, I would like to create a new table, with 5V when "signal" is HIGHER than a constante name's (SeuilHIGH) and 0V if is lower.

I try a boucle for, match, but I don't manage to my objective.

With match(SeuilHIGH, signal, "gt"), it display the index of the table, but how can I replace the value by the good one?

I attached the file.

Excel importation is on page 2 and computation on page 2 and 3.

have you got an idea in order to create a new table/matrix with only two values according to the first table "signal"?

Thank you,

have a good week,

Emilien

Bug or wrong settings?

Hi,

I'm not an experinced user and I've spent already several ours trying to identify the problem. Randomly it happens that some variables are not recognized. See the print screen. I'm suspecting 1) settings/preferences are not correct or 2) mathcad 15 has a bug.  I reinstalled it, cleaned the registries. Not a solution. I attached the file also. I would apreciate your help.

Best regards,

GS

Bug in Prime 3 using regressions with units?

$

As we know Prime in general has a better and more consequent handling of units than Mathcad 15 (units of different dimension in a matrix, odesolve with units, ...). Nevertheless units still don't seem to be integrated that seamless as we'd like it to be.

Playing around with a worksheet from another thread with a question about curve fitting I found that genfit() doesn't calculate the correct results if used with units (which I guess should be possible to do in Prime).

Is it a bug or am I missing something? See the attached file.

Fitting a function to Data

Attached is a Prime 3 document which has a data table and graph. I have been trying to fit a function to this data but all my attempts have failed using the canned curve fit functions. Does anyone have a specialised proceedure which will do the job?

Thanking you in advance.

Unexpected symbolic result

I cannot seem to reproduce the issue, but I recently had the symbolic solver return something like (10x^5)(y^3)(xy) for (5x^3)(y^2)(2x^2)(y^2). In other words, it was simplified but not _completely_ simplified. Is there a reason it would do that?

Thanks

Copy/paste a region into another application?

$

My understanding is that MathCAD Prime 3.0 is supposed to allow the user to copy a region within a MathCAD document and then paste it into another application (e.g. MS Word)... My understanding is that the pasted material would be a non-editable image but I am hoping that it would be sharp and resizable (e.g. an enhanced metafile).

But I cannot figure out how to copy from MCP 3.0 to, say, MS Word.

I select a region within my MC document, copy to (I hope) the Window Clipboard and then change focus to the MS Word doc... But MS Word finds there is nothing to paste. Am I doing something wrong?
